Inflate-Deflate

The Inflate/Deflate project was started in 2005 with a university brief which called for studio shots of a 'football sized object'. The image that resulted from that project, of a back-lit transparent inflatable ball, led to further experimentation using leftover props from the "Happygoth" shoots and the eventual development of this project into a series of abstract, close-up shots of unusually lit inflatable summer toys.

An ongoing project (currently being developed into a photobook), the idea been to show that an unusual and eye catching image can be produced with the simple use of a ubiquitous, mass-produced object and a single light source.
