Ben Bucki was born and educated in the West Midlands, before moving to Carlisle where he graduated from the Cumbria Institute of the Arts in 2007, with a 2:1 in Photography. Interested in the subject for several years, the Britannia Model Village is Bens largest, and longest-running project to date, combining photography and also 3D sculpture, another area in which he has an interest.  Since this project, Ben has been working on a graphic novel with a writer from Stourport, using a combination of 3D miniatures and sets, photographs, and drawn elements, with the visual style very much inspired by the Britannia Model Village project.
