About

Ben Bucki was born and educated in the West Midlands, studying art and design at King Edward VI College in Stourbridge, before specialising in photography at Stourbridge College. He went on to study photography at university, graduating with a 2:1 degree from the Cumbria Institute of the Arts in Carlisle in 2007, before settling in West Yorkshire with his wife, Amy.

The Britannia Model Village (showcased in the Projects section) has led to several exhibitions, and has formed the basis for a great deal of work since, including commissions and more experimental pieces to try different techniques for shooting with miniatures. Bens transport photography has been published in magazines, and he has exhibited his work at several venues, either as part of collaborative shows or as solo exhibitions. In 2009 he co-founded 'Ribbon Art and Photography' with Amy, in order to jointly promote their work, leading to more commissions, collaborative projects, and exhibitions.
